ALL SORTS OF INFO ABOUT BUGGIES

Just what you were looking for: Answers to all the questions that you were probably far, far too afraid to ask...

1. THE HISTORY OF BUGGY

Millions of Years Ago : The modern buggy (Buggius wheeliecartius) evolves from, and eventually replaces, its earlier ancestors. Scienticians believe the modern buggy was able to outcompete more primitive species due to their increased wheel mobility and the rigid plastic fenders that are visible even today.

Early 1700s : European settlers first encounter the wild buggy on the plains of North America. Shy and reclusive, they are initally ingored because they don't seem to have economic value to pioneering lifestyles.

Late 1800s : After decades habitat destruction, local agriculture, and the urbanization of their natural migration routes, the wild buggy hangs on the brink of extinction.

1905 : Internationally recogonized as the year that the lowest population numbers are recorded. A handful of the few remaining wild buggies are placed in a secluded preserve to help rebuild their numbers. As few as eighteen individuals are to be found in the wild.

1926 : Out of sight, out of mind? The buggy population tops one-thousand as secret ranges of wild buggies continue to be protected under a virtually unknown piece of Canadian legislation. By this year, the buggy has all but disappeared from public knowledge.

Late 1930s : Populations burgeoning, the first wild buggies are tamed in North America. They are initially put to use in urban marketplaces as a novelty exhibits, but quickly blossom when they are found to encourage deeper spending in small stores with heavy merchandise.
